Hal Moore, were dropped by helicopter into a small clearing in the Ia Drang Valley. They were immediately surrounded by 2, North Vietnamese soldiers. Three days later, only two and a half miles away, a sister battalion was chopped to pieces. Together, these actions at the landing zones X-Ray and Albany constituted one of the most savage and significant battles of the Vietnam War. 😹

The second author, was a UPI The book opens with five pages listing those killed in the Pleiku campaign in October and November when the War in Vietnam was just beginning to heat up.     Howard, coauthor of We Were Soldiers Once And so it goes… chapter after chapter: Fix Bayonets. Galloway, you can have a free pass on any "should" book of your choice. I HATE books which attempt to explain a battle without providing solriers kind of visual clues whatsoever.
