A Lot of Pages The Old Man and his God, by Sudha Murty — a reviewSudha Murty does not need introductions. After years of hard work she has successfully established herself as a force to be reckoned with. She is also a celebrated writer who has authored many fiction as well as non-fiction works. And just as the blurb claims, the book is a mix bag of stories collected from a lifetime of experiences which delves upon the various facets of human nature and in a way provides a true reflection to the souls of people of India. Though there are many instances which are inspiring and eye catching, certain ones do leave a mark on the minds of the reader. One such chapter which most fascinated me was the one in which Murty writes about an incident which happened when she was on a trip to a holy monastery in Tibet.

Error rating book. The book had a total of 25 such small stories through which the author tries to give a moral in the end or shows the contrasting human behaviors. This book is nice read on a casual holiday. There are no frills or fancy words ,but the content of her unforgettable stories always make the reader sit up and reflect?This book is nice read on a casual holiday. Received from Aryan's Mom and Titaxy. This book written by Sudha Murty isa excellent book which I could not keep it down until the last page. I am always enamoured by this lovely lady, Sudha Murty.
So, smile and are relatable to the common person, which are not much interrelated. A collection of stories that make you ponder, both city and village life. This book portrays a true picture of India. Sudha Murty was born in in Shiggaon in north Karnataka.

She is hiss of the many women who inspire me. There are stories of women trying to make a difference in the community against odds, of acts of selfishness and generosity in times of disaster. I just never wanted this book to end. She comes with great credentials.
